For over 30 years, ergonomic professionals and scholars in Taiwan have been devoted to developing ergonomics in both academic and practical fields. Building on the solid foundation established by our predecessors, EST continues to advance and takes responsibility for integrating a diverse platform for collaboration. Various practical fields, including industry, healthcare, occupational health, the military, transportation, and design, are gradually maturing to support interdisciplinary applications. In terms of international exchange, EST actively participates in global events and fosters strong relationships with allied associations worldwide. EST is a member of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), the Asian Council on Ergonomics and Design (ACED), and the Chinese Association of Ergonomics Societies (CAES). Looking ahead, EST will remain committed to its professional mission—cultivating the next generation, strengthening international cooperation, promoting practical applications, and advancing interdisciplinary research. We have had some queries that we would like to clarify so we ask that you forward this email to you members. Symposium/panels etc. Only one abstract is required for these categories initially. We understand that many Chairs wish to submit an abstract for a symposium or panel proposal by 30 November and organise the detail about the presenters' individual papers later. Alternatively, each presenter in the symposium/panel can provide just a few sentences in the initial abstract to indicate what they will be presenting but they can submit longer abstracts if they want to. If the symposium abstract is not accepted then we will consider each of the individual presenters for the oral program. Abstract length Abstracts are to be a maximum of 800 words. There is no minimum length, however they will need to be long enough to show what your presentation is about. Abstracts only Abstracts will be reviewed and if accepted, presenters will be invited to submit a full paper. Submitting a full paper will not be a requirement.
